Report says low-cost house loans elevated to risks of defaults

Data reveals that the low-cost home loans are elevated to risks of default as 1.96% of overall home loans are not repaid over 90 days and 2.33% of affordable housing loans under Rs. 25 lakhs. The report by Crif Highmark also states that the outstanding home loans of the banks have increased to 13.6%. The 90-day overdue for the overall housing finance used to be 1.36% in March 2016 and has hiked to 1.96% in September 2017.
