Rs 20 coins to be issued for first time in India, announces finance ministry

10-years after introducing Rs 10 coins in 2009, Wednesday, the finance ministry announced the launch of Rs 20 coins for the first time in India. The coins will look similar to the Rs 10 coins with a diameter of 27mm. On one side Satyamev Jayate sign will be there and on the other side, 'Bharat' in Hindi and 'India' in English will be inscribed. New series of Rs 1, Rs 2, Rs 5 and Rs 10 coins prototypes will be launched soon.
