Russia-Ukraine war, crude oil price major factors behind rupee depreciation against US Dollar: Govt in Lok Sabha

The recent depreciation in the value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar is due to global factors like the Russia-Ukraine conflict, soaring crude oil prices, and tightening of global financial conditions, the government said in the Lok Sabha on Monday. However, the government informed the lower house of Parliament that the Indian currency has strengthened against other major global currencies.
