Sellers to escape taxes in India sending goods as gift, Alibaba to penalize

Alibaba has been angry with its sellers for sending goods to India as gifts in order to avoid paying duties and taxes. All those who have been doing this will be fined and they will also face store closure. As per Indian laws, entities can avoid paying taxes for gifts worth up to Rs 5000. An Alibaba spokesperson said that AliExpress respects laws of every nation and will not accept such type of illegal activities.
