Sensex, Nifty closed on record highs

Following the announcement by Modi government about the plan of Rs 2.11 lakh crore to recapitalise for PSU banks, Indian stock markets closed at lifetime high today. Sensex gained 1.33%, closed on 33,042.50 while Nifty jumped 0.86%, closed on 10,295.35. Shares of State Bank of India jumped by 27.58% to hit the 52-week high of Rs 328.05. Rs 18,000 crore also allotted to banks by the government under the Indradhanush plan.
