Sensex slips 153 points to 52,693, Nifty below 15,750 mark

The stock market on Tuesday ended on a sluggish note as the Sensex settled at 52,693.57 points and the Nifty stood at 15,732.1 points. The midcap indices also largely reflected the broader market trend, trading near the flat line as the Nifty Midcap 50 wrapped up at 7,345.1 points. The Indian rupee (INR) on Tuesday strengthened 0.03% to settle at Rs. 78.01 against the US Dollar in the forex trade.
