The marketing strategies of Amazon.com were defended in India as it came under fire from a local trader group on Friday over discounted products on the website. New e-commerce foreign investment regulations that came into effect in India since February were meant to assist small dealers by reducing high online discounted prices, but they complained that large online retailers were using intricate business plans.
