Supreme Court stays RBI's circular prohibiting cryptocurrency

RBI's circular asking banks and financial institutions under its regulation not to 'provide services in relation to virtual currencies' has been stayed by the Supreme Court after Internet and Mobile Association of India filed a plea in Supreme Court against this circular stating that it was 'arbitrary, unfair and unconstitutional'. The stay will allow the association to carry on dealing with cryptocurrencies.
