NCLT has ruled out Cyrus Mistry’s plea challenging his removal from the chairman position. On 1st October 2016, Mistry was removed while Ratan Tata was named as the interim chairman. In December, Mistry resigned from his directorial position from all Tata group firms and moved to NCLT alleging mismanagement. NCLT dismissed his plea on 9th July saying he was removed as board members lost their confidence in him.
