UPI transactions slip 6% in May

UPI transaction figures stand at 733.54 Mn in May 2019, a 6.17% decline compared to the total number of transactions in April when UPI clocked 781.79 Mn transactions in total. According to the latest released date by National Payments Corporation of India, despite the number of transactions being reduced, the transaction value has subsequently jumped from INR 1,42,034.39 Cr in April to INR 1,52,449.29 Cr in May 2019.
