US surpassed India to become top greenfield FDI investment destination

As per FDI Report 2018 by Financial Express, greenfield FDI projects fell by 21% to 637 projects in India in 2017. Although Indian maintained top position for the year 2015 and 2016 in greenfield FDI investment but the fall in 2017 made the US top destination recording USD 87.4 billion of announced FDI. In terms of FDI in the total number of new projects and capital investment China topped in Asia and Pacific region.
