Vodafone Idea, Airtel clear spectrum dues worth Rs 9,000 crore

Vodafone Idea touted to be India’s largest telco by subscribers and ranked second Bharti Airtel have finally paid their spectrum dues which is reportedly more than Rs 9,000 crore to the government, sources close to the Department of Telecommunications has revealed. It is believed Vodafone Idea has paid Rs 6,277 crore for the spectrum it bought in auctions, and Bharti Airtel had to pay near about Rs 2,800 crore.
