Walmart has agreed for a settlement of over $282 million with the US over the charges of breaking anti-corruption laws while carrying out its business in India, China, Brazil, and Mexico. The US retail giant was imposed by the US Security and Exchange Commission for not going by the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as it failed to carry on with the anti-corruption compliance program as its business expanded.
