Walmart to fund agritech startup Ninjacart with $50 million

Retail giant Walmart has committed agritech startup Ninjacart of funding of $50 million. This would be a strategically beneficial move for Walmart as it will help them to achieve backward integration in order to boost its supply needs of fresh vegetable and fruits in India. The markets for fresh fruits and vegetables are highly unorganized in India, and the farmers are undervalued. Ninjacart will cut out those pains.
