World Bank approves $1 billion fund to India in fight against coronavirus

The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors has approved a fast-track $1 billion India COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project in the wake of the novel coronavirus, to help India curb the spread of the virus, ensure timely treatment and respond to the pandemic with full preparation. This is the largest ever health sector support by the World Bank to India. India has reported 2550 cases of Covid-19.
