Yes Bank became Fortis’s biggest stakeholder

Yes Bank has become the biggest shareholder of Fortis with a 17.3% stake. Fortis Healthcare is going through troubles and SC has declared that financial institutions holding pledged shares are now free to sell them. Fortis reported a net loss of Rs 36.8 crore in the October-December period and amid all the investigations this acquisition can cause even more trouble for India’s second largest hospital chain.
