ZEE Entertainment to merge with Sony India, Punit Goenka to be the CEO

The merger between Sony Pictures Networks India and ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited has been approved by the Board of Directors of the group. "The merger is in line with ZEEL's strategy of achieving higher growth and profitability as a leading Media & Entertainment Company across South Asia," Zee Entertainment saiid. After the merger, Punit Goenka will be the Managing Director and CEO of the merged firm.
