50,848 new Covid-19 cases, 1,358 deaths recorded in India in 24 hours

India recorded as many as 50,848 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total caseload to 3,00,28,709. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data, the country recorded 1,358 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 3,90,660. Maharashtra accounted for maximum casualties at 482. The active caseload in the country has declined by 19,327 to 6,43,194.
