Australia is going to buy as many as courses of Merck & Co's experimental antiviral pill amid a surge in Covid-19 cases in the country, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said. "These treatments mean that we are going to be able to live with the virus," Prime Minister Morrison said during a media interaction. The pill, Molnupiravir, would be the first oral antiviral medication for COVID-19, subject to regulatory approval.
