According to an Oxford University-led study, lockdowns imposed across the world in view of the Covid-19 outbreak Significantly reduced cases of bacterial diseases like pneumonia, meningitis and sepsis. The study reveals that millions of lives were saved due to the lockdown. The study was co-authored by Professor David Murdoch, an infectious disease expert and Dean of the University of Otago, Christchurch.
