‘Cannot cut corners' in approving Covaxin, expecting more info from Bharat Biotech: WHO

The World Health Organisation on Monday said it was expecting additional information from India's Bharat Biotech regarding its COVID-19 jab Covaxin, asserting that it "cannot cut corners” before recommending a vaccine for emergency use. The global health agency also emphasized that it must evaluate a vaccine thoroughly to make sure it is "safe and effective".
