China registers highest daily Covid-19 cases in fresh outbreak

With 124 fresh locally transmitted Covid-19 cases, China has recorded its highest daily cases in the current outbreak. According to the health authorities, the country recorded 80 locally transmitted cases, 62 more than the previous day. A fresh surge was recorded in eastern Jiangsu province with the discovery of new cases in Yangzhou. The authorities have also imposed a curb on overseas travel to break the chain.
