Death due to oxygen shortage is violation of state’s duty to protect right to life: Bombay High Court

The Bombay High Court said while hearing a plea related to oxygen shortage in Goa, that protecting the right to life of citizens is the duty of the state and any death due to oxygen shortage is a violation of the right. “Article 21 of the Constitution gives everyone a right to life and Supreme Court has said that the state will have to create circumstances so that this right to life is protected," the court said.
