Delta variant fuels fresh surge in Covid-19 cases in Washington

Washington is witnessing a fresh surge in Covid-19 cases, fuelled by the Delta variant. Covid-19 cases are spreading like wildfire among adults as well as children. “Vaccination progress is continuing, but not fast enough,” said state Secretary of Health Umair A Shah. Shah further said that even vaccination is not helping in dealing with the Delta variant. Several counties in the state have witnessed over a 600% rise in the cases.
