Face mask that detects Covid-19 infection in 90 minutes

Engineers at MIT and Harvard University have developed a mask that can detect COVID-19 in less than 90 minutes. The masks are layered with small disposable sensors that can be inserted into face masks and reconfigured to detect different viruses. The sensors are based on freeze-dried cellular machinery that detects viruses like Zika and Ebola. The cell-free circuit components last months before needing to be rehydrated.
