For the first time since April 21, India records less than 3 lakh Covid cases in a day

In what can be considered as news of relief, India registered less than 3 lakh daily Covid-19 cases for the first time since April 21. The country recorded 2.81 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. As many as 4,106 Covid patients lost their lives in the same time period. The country is still reporting over 4,000 deaths on a daily basis. The death toll has gone beyond 2.7 lakh and the positivity rate stands at 17.88%.
