India records 13,596 fresh Covid-19 cases, 166 deaths in last 24 hours

India recorded as many as 13,596 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest daily caseload in the last 8 months. As many as 166 people lost their lives due to the deadly infection in the same time period. The Covid outbreak has now been restricted to a few states including Kerala and Mizoram. Meanwhile, the vaccination rate in the country continues to improve with over 97.79 crore doses being administered till now.
