India records 15,786 fresh Covid cases, 231 deaths in last 24 hours

India recorded as many as 15,786 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total caseload to 34,143,236. This was a 14.5 percent decline in daily cases from a day earlier. The country recorded 231 Covid-related deaths in the same time period. As many as 82.6 percent of the fresh Covid-19 cases have been registered in Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Mizoram. Kerala accounts for 55.32% of fresh cases.
