Mumbai blood banks running out of blood amid rise in Covid cases

As the coronavirus cases continue to surge in Maharashtra, Mumbai is struggling with an acute shortage of blood again. The blood banks at government and civic hospitals are running out of blood. More than 8,000 fresh cases were recorded in the city for the second consecutive day. The city has over 4,32,192 fresh cases. Most of the centres in the city are running out of one of the most common blood type O+.
