Private hospitals in Mumbai ordered to reserve 80% beds for COVID patients by BMC amid surge in cases

As coronavirus cases are once again on a rise in Maharashtra, the private hospitals in Mumbai have been asked to reserve 80 percent of the total number of beds for Covid-19 patients. The BMC has also asked the hospitals to keep sufficient ICU beds available for Covid patients. In its directive, the BMC said that 100 percent of ICU beds shall be kept reserved for Ward War Room allotment COVID-19 patients only.
