CCB arrests former Congress Mayor Sampath Raj in connection with Bengaluru Riots

Former mayor and sitting Congress Corporator R Sampath Raj has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch in connection with the Bengaluru riots case. The CCB has named 60 people including Sampath Raj as accused in the violence case in a preliminary chargesheet submitted to the court. The Congress leader was on the run since he was discharged from a hospital where he underwent treatment for Covid-19.
