Etah Police arrests 6 for unlawful conversion in Uttar Pradesh, announces Rs.25,000 reward on 5 others

The police in Etah district in Uttar Pradesh have arrested six Muslim people in connection with a case involving the state's new "unlawful conversion" law. The police took the action after the father of a 21-year-old Hindu woman filed an FIR in the district's Jalesar town on December 17, alleging that his daughter had been kidnapped by a Muslim man and his relatives. The police are looking for five more persons.
