Nirbhaya case: All 4 convicts hanged after years of legal proceedings
In a historic day in the gruesome 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape murder case, all the four convicts were hanged today at 5:30 am after Supreme Court rejected their midnight pleas. Security was beefed up at the Tihar ahead of their hanging and a lockdown was imposed. Their bodies were sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for post-mortem after which the bodies will be handed over to their families. They were hanged for 30 minutes.
