Nirbhaya Case: Convict Akshay moves second mercy petition before President

One of the four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape-murder case has once again wrote to President of India, Ramnath Kovind, pleading for mercy, just 3 days ahead of the scheduled hanging. The petition has been submitted to Tihar Jail authorities on Tuesday, who will be transferring it to the Ministry of Home Affairs via the Delhi government. The four convicts are scheduled to be hanged till death on March 20 at 5:30 am.
