In Dorset, Minnesota, where a new mayor is chosen every two years by drawing names from a hat, a three-year-old named Robert Tufts was elected mayor in 2015. "Being nice and no poopy talk," he says as his governing style. In 2018, I believe we can all agree that the world could benefit from more Robert Tufts in positions of power.

Because they generate sound through lip vibration, instruments like conch shells and shofars (made of hollowed-out animal horns) are still regarded as brass. Since they haven't undergone much modification from their original state and don't have valves or slides to regulate pitch, they are frequently referred to as "natural trumpets." Despite being primarily made of brass, other traditional brass instruments like trumpets and trombones may also contain some copper or other metals.

Henna twigs are still used as toothpicks by the local population in rural North Africa to maintain healthy gums and clean teeth. Who would have guessed that Mehendi could be used to save money on dental bills?

Despite the fact that trumpets aren't as large as the tuba or the trombone, if you stretched out the instrument's densely packed metal tubing, it would measure an impressive 6 1/2 feet.

The snake plant controls the rate of transpiration, making it an active plant. The plant can control these activities to enable dry and hot weather-resistant growth. It also makes the snake plant versatile, though. Therefore, even if you set your snake plant in a humid location, it will still grow successfully.

Simply put, the law wants owners to have their chickens under control at all times. Georgia likes to ensure the safety and sacredness of their chicken because in Gainesville Georgia, you eat fried chicken with your bare hands. Keep your forks away from them. The law describes chicken as a “culinary delicacy sacred to its municipality.” Perhaps this is why chicken deserves a specific transport safety law.

That slightly scandalous charcoal drawing of a topless Kate Winslet in Titanic was drawn by none other than the director himself, James Cameron. If you want something done right, sometimes you just need to do it yourself.

Most species don't even need to provide any parental care for their newborn pups, which can swim and feed right away. Researchers are only now beginning to comprehend how being caught—even unintentionally—can result in premature births in ray species. According to research in the journal Biological Conservation, after being captured, roughly 85% of blue stingrays lost their young.

Because rattlesnakes are ovoviviparous, they don't produce eggs. Instead, before giving birth to live offspring, female rattlesnakes carry and incubate their eggs inside of their bodies for about 90 days. A juvenile rattlesnake is born fully formed and enclosed in a membrane that it must pierce in order to inhale its first breath of air. The majority of species' breeding season is in the spring, and females only have offspring every two years.

Lyndon B. Johnson, ever the joker, would surprise guests at his Texas ranch by driving them down the hill in his Amphicar, pretending the brakes had failed. When it struck the lake, their fear would dissipate as they learned the automobile was built to work in water.

Someone born on April 20, 1889, was predicted to rise to power by an astrologer. Adolf Hitler was that "someone." Karl Krafft, a Swiss astrologer, predicted an attempted assassination of Hitler. Krafft was imprisoned by the Nazis for foreseeing the unfortunate event. When it became clear that the astrologer was not guilty, Goebbels, the Nazis' Minister of Propaganda, hired Krafft as their in-house astrologer. "It was Krafft's astrological forecasts that led Hitler to begin the successful Operation Barossa attack," according to AstrologyCosmos.
