Bahareh Zare Bahari, an Iranian beauty queen was hunted by Tehran on criminal charges, has been granted political asylum in the Phillippines. She was denied entry in the nation after her return from Dubai, with Phillippine authorities citing an Iranian warrant for her arrest. She said that the Iranian authorities will kill her. She claimed Tehran wanted to punish her for opposition to Iran's theocratic regime.
