Ranu Mondal was singing Lata Mangeshkar's 'Ek Pyar ka nagma hai'. The video went viral, and Mondal became a household name. Music director Himesh Resamiya even recorded a song with her. However, Lata Mangeshkar herself was hesitant about it and said that she feels flattered about the whole thing. However, imitation is not a durable and reliable companion for success. It only gets short term attention, she added.
