Kishore Kumar's 1st wife Ruma Guha Thakurta passes away

Kishore Kumar's first wife, Ruma Guha Thakurta has passed away on Monday in her residence in Kolkata at the age of 84. She was suffering from old age-related ailments. Apart from working in Hindi and Bengali films, she had also worked in an English film, The Namesake. She was also a playback singer and founded the Calcutta Youth Choir, a song and dance troupe, in 1958. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee shared condolences.
