Rock star Eddie Van Halen passes away after losing battle with cancer

Popular rockstar Eddie Van Halen, who founded the band by his name, passed away on Tuesday after losing the battle with cancer. “I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning,” the rockstar's son Wolf Van Halen tweeted. The rockstar was 65 at the time of his death. He founded the rock group with his older brother Alex in the 1970s.
