Vir Das: - First Indian comedian to get a Doctorate
In recognition of his contribution to the world of art and humour, Indian comedian Vir Das has been felicitated with a Doctorate, first time for an Indian Comedian. Currently, Vir Das has his own show Abroad Understanding on Netflix, another first for any Indian comedian and he will be awarded the rare achievement of Doctorate by his alma mater, Knox College, Illinois in June 2018.
