113 mn people on 53 lands experienced acute hunger due to wars & climate disasters

The United Nations revealed on Tuesday that due to wars and climate disasters more than 113 million people across 53 nations suffered acute hunger in the previous year. It said that Africa was the worst-hit region among all. Also, FAO in its 2019 report on food crisis stated that Yemen, Congo, Afghanistan, and Syria were among 8 nations where two-thirds of the total number of people worldwide displayed a risk of famine.
