A silver Roman dagger with its intact belt has been restored to its original glory after it was discovered at a German burial ground in Haltern am See, near Münster. The amazingly beautiful weapon is said to be the most remarkable artifact of its kind to have been found to date. The red enamel silver and brass handles decorated with ornate patterns of foliage and leaves have surprisingly survived for 2,000 years.
