22 out of 56 proposals shortlisted, Bengal's R-Day tableau rejected

The Defence Ministry said 22 proposals, 16 from states and UTs and 6 from central ministries, out of 56 have been shortlisted for Republic Day parade. The tableau proposal of the West Bengal government was rejected by the Expert Committee after deliberations in the 2nd meeting. The proposals are evaluated in a series of meetings of the Expert Committee on the basis of theme, concept, design and its visual impact.
