Owners will be required to confine their cats inside the home or garage during the 24-hour curfew, with a cat-proof fence available for those who wish to keep their cats in their yard. Cats will be prohibited from trespassing on other people's land, with rangers picking up stray cats. Fines or legal action may be imposed if the curfew is not followed. Due to the problem of feral and nuisance cats, the council approved the curfew.
