An archaeological mission has unearthed a 3,000-year-old "lost golden city" in the southern city of Luxor. The ancient city was known as Aten. Historians believe that King Amenhotep III, the 9th king of ancient Egypt, found the city during his rule between 391 to 1353 B.C. "The discovery of this lost city is the second most important archaeological discovery since the tomb of Tutankhamen," said Betsy Bryan, an Egyptology professor.
