5 institutes including DU and BHU to get eminence tag

The government is going to bestow five universities with the eminence tag, and those 5 universities are Benaras Hindu University, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, Delhi University and the University of Hyderabad. The purpose of this designation is to prepare them for global rankings. Every year ten public and 10 private institutes are shortlisted by HRD ministry as world-class teaching and research institutions.
