51 arrests made, 14 cases filed a month since the passing of the Love Jihad law in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh Police has registered 14 cases under the Love Jihad law within a month of the passing of the law in the state. 51 arrests have been made since the passing of the law and 49 of the accused are in jail. 13 of these 14 cases are related to Hindu girls. However, only two of the fourteen cases were where the victim girl herself lodged the complaint. In the rest of the cases, the complaints were lodged by the relatives.
