7,071 fresh coronavirus cases reported in France in a day

According to the statistics released by the French local authorities, 7,071 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus were reported on Sunday. The count was lower than 8,550 cases that were reported on Saturday. The cases were at peak on Friday when 8,975 people contracted the deadly infection. 1,704 people were hospitalized in the last seven days while 288 patients of the disease were in intensive care units.
