77-metre MV Alta washes ashore in Ireland after more than a year at sea

MV Alta, an abandoned ship that floated for thousands of miles without anyone onboard washed up on the coast of Ireland on Sunday after Storm Dennis. The 77-meter cargo ship, which had been floating for more than a year, washed ashore rocks outside the village of Ballycotton near Cork, reported AFP. In September 2018, it was en route from Greece to Haiti when it became disabled. After which begun its 15-month-long crewless voyage.
