8 killed while sleeping as truck rams into roadside shanties in Gujarat

As many as 8 people lost their lives after a speeding truck rammed into roadside shanties in Gujarat’s Amreli in the early hours of Monday. The residents were asleep when the truck rammed into the cluster of shanties. While eight people, including two children, were killed on the spot, two others were seriously injured. Compensation worth Rs. 4 lakh has been announced for the families of each of the deceased by the state government.
